NJ Alcotest Ruling…how does it affect me?

In Feb. I was convicted of a DWI in Mt. Laurel, NJ after blowing a .13 on the Alcotest, which has recently ruled reliable. My attorney put a "stay" on my conviction until the Alcotest ruling came out. Does anyone know how the courts will go about handling the large backflow of people who have DWI’s?? If anyone has knowledge of this I’d really appreciate their input…

I say yes, but don’t happen every time, just a $ fine, but get stopped at a DUI check point and test .08 and off to jail even tho you didn’t cause anything, just because "You may cause what the sober driver DID do".

Charges for Underage Drinking?

**all names have been changed

Joe’s father filed a police report against another friend, Mary’s, parents about "supplying" alcohol to minors. Mary’s parents, however, did not buy the alcohol for the group.

I want to find out how this situation would typically play out.

This isn’t the first lawsuit that Joe’s father has filed. He has sued other of Joe’s friends for minor things such as losing Joe’s smartphone in a public setting and other situations. What will come to Mary’s parents. They didn’t buy the alcohol and they were asleep when the group of 6 college students were over. The students spent the time outside and they had a Designated Driver who drove each one home.

I’ve looked up different scenarios on the internet and majority of what I found were stories about big, loud, chaotic parties in which there were noise complaints and police intervention or the underage drinkers were involved in injuries, drunk driving, or even death. The parent’s in these situations were typically sent to court, then if found guilty, charged 0 fine and around 30 days in prison. However, each situation varies so I’m just curious about this particular issue between Joe and Mary’s parents.
My apologies, I didn’t mean to state that the students were minors. Most of them are the ages 18 or 19. I would also add that there were no accidents, injuries, drunken driving, or deaths in this situation.

Wouldn’t these laws hurt individual freedom? And don’t they force government’s big laws down your throat to prevent you from doing what you want to do? Aren’t we a "me" society based on individual freedom – rather than a "we" society based on the common good for each other?

Why do we have to look out for each other (common good – general welfare) rather than just be able to do whatever we please without the government forcing these silly laws down our throat?

So many Amy Winehouse Jokes and this whole "MASS MURDER HAPPENED YOU SHOULD CARE ABOUT THAT INSTEAD OF AMY"

I’ve always known people are mean but since when did that become the norm? Since when did it become cool to make fun of someones death especially a non murderer or rapist. Why do people bash the dead so? I can see not mourning a tragedy that you aren’t apart of but, why join a bash if you have no association with the person?

When Ryan Dunn died there was a bunch of jokes about him too. I can see making a social commentary after some time about drunk driving or something but right at death bashing the guy to his fans? what the hell is that? I never hear about people crashing funerals and just making fun of the person laying the casket.

I was about to rent a vehicle and I found out that I have a bench warrant. If the person who owns the car gets a copy of my license for insurance reasons will it show up on the insurance side? or is the copy of my license just an "in case" thing. I know most insurance companies require a drivers abstract to show my files… but this is just my license.. I am taking care of this bench warrant on payday….

So, I’m driving home from work in a tiny town with a stop sign at every block and not enough traffic to justify them all. I turn right at a "T" where there is a stop sign…yes, I stopped… and some cop training a baby-faced cadet is sitting down the street like a parked car. Junior needs some practice filling out paper work and whatnot, so they pull me over and claim I didn’t stop at that corner. Is this not bullcrap? I know the kid needs practice and there isn’t enough crime here to give him some, but charging me an unjust fine so the rug rat can fill out a citation is unethical. The thing is, I’m railroaded; there’s not a thing I can do, is there?
