To my knowledge, in New York State, drivers possessing only a driving permit requires a licensed driver’s accomplement to drive. And, if stop’d, ticketed and issued a moving violation for driving unaccompanied, the violators may not only lose all driving privilege’s for a designated time but will possibly have to re-apply.

I got a ticket for a no right turn on red in Los Angeles. Can I still go to court to reduce the amount owed? It is now at collections.. This has happened to me once before with a no registration and insurance fine that was late. But I was able to go to court to reduce the fine. But I don t know if this is the same with a traffic moving violation. Please Help!!!

If someone has a moving violation in NY do the points from that violation become interchangeable with those in VA? What about in the opposite case. Do points from a moving violation in VA get transferred to your NY license? Also if you loose your license in NY does that mean you will be unable to drive or obtain a license in another state? I live in Florida, and I have had my permit for a year and a half. on the 13th of august my parents suprised me with a brand new car. And yesterday Someone was speeding a I was turning into another lane. When we both sideswipped anothers cars. I ended up getting a ticket for 6 its considered a "Moving Violation" is what it said on the ticket. He said it would not effect me getting my license, which I am TRULEY hopping that it wont. I already made an appointment to get my license. All I need to know if they will let me take the test and get my license? If I pay the ticket, and take the course and no points will be on my permit. Please let me know ASAP.

Is there anyway to find out how many points you have on your driving record?

I’m from ohio, and I just got my third moving violation in twelve months. I have to go to court. Will I lose my license? I dont know how many points I got

i received a ticket on my learners permit for a moving violation. i payed the ticket. so i am curious to know if that would count as me being convicted for a moving violation. i never went to court for it. thank you so much for your help. oh and would the mva allow you to schedule your driving appointment before your 9 months are up?

I received two non-moving written warnings, a non-moving violation, and a moving violation (0-9 mph over limit) during a traffic stop initiated by an officer who "paced" me. Whether through plea or hearing, I hope to have the moving violation rescinded, but I would like to know if the prosecuting attorney, the officer, or the court can change the written warnings to violations and/or increase the "level" or "mph" of the speeding violation in response to me "fighting" the citation.

Just got a speeding ticket today.. Officer initially said I was doing 45 in a 25 mph zone… when he came back with the ticket he gave me a ticket for improper lane change as well…(yeah right) probably because I challenged him on the speeding charge.. (anyways).

I haven’t had a ticket or moving violation since 2006 so my record was excellent up until this..My question is this.. my license expires in December of this year on my birthday.. will these points drop off or will they carry over when I renew my license? Can I take a remedial driving course and get the 2point credit and use it to remove points?

Apparently I was driving with my parking lamps on at night.

This is the violation: "24800. No vehicle shall be driven at any time with the parking lamps lighted except when the lamps are being used as turn signal lamps or when the headlamps are also lighted."

Is that a moving violation? It is 0 point on DMV.

I was just sent a letter from Arnold Scott Harris, P.C. regarding moving violation in 2000! I have paid several tickets but am not sure if these ever got paid. What can I do to dispute these tickets, they are threatening to suspend my license! This is all happening in WIll County!
