But the Police Department apparently never sent over my file, and I was told that they had no information on me whatsoever. Apparently they never pressed the charges? Has this happened to anyone? The clerks office told me to call the DAs office and ask, but I basically see that as ASKING them to press charges against me, and my attorney told me to just make sure I call the clerks office weekly/monthly to see if a court date is ever set. And I guess the 2 cops were BOTH rookies, so maybe they screwed something up? Bottomline, do you think im getting away with this or what? Cause ive never been in trouble or gone to court or anything, so I dont know how all this works!

Is DUI a minor traffic offense in NJ?

I’m filling out a job application and it says
Have you ever been found guilty or pled guilty to a violation of the law (other than minor traffic offenses)?
(Do not answer “Yes” if your conviction record has been annulled, expunged,sealed or impounded by the court.)

And I want to know the best option for me to take. I was an honors high school student–graduated with a 4.5 GPA, was in 7 different honor societies–and I attended UCSB studying mechanical engineering with a 3.0 GPA (as a first year) so far until my parents pulled me out this spring quarter as punishment. I have never gotten a ticket or been in trouble with the law in any way ever before.

I was at my cousin’s birthday party and I was keeping up shots with him–but he was taking fake shots. So, I took way over my limit and I blacked out. I don’t remember leaving the house nonetheless getting in and driving my car. I got pulled over and my car was slightly damaged due to my drunken driving hitting a rail. I got a .22 BAC level and was hospitalized.

What’s the best thing for me to do?
Should I just sincerely tell my judge the situation and pray for a minimum sentence/probation/whatever I need by begging for it?
Or should I hire an attorney and try to use law against law in the system to see about minimizing my case that way? (I really don’t have too much money for this option either)

What are the laws concerning ones right to refuse a BAC test while riding a bicycle for Florida. I realize that one can still receive a DUI while riding a bike impaired in Florida. Are the laws pertaining to chemical testing in Florida specific to motor vehicles? What about laws regarding sobriety tests and bicycles in Florida?

And his/her insurance company will only pay for the car’s value and not the cost of repair, is there anything you can do? I just want my car fixed.

That makes me a little uncomfortable everyone has to sit in the same room and tell the judge what they’ve done so everyone can hear? Isn’t there some kind of privacy law for this? I went to court once for bumping into some womans rear end of the car and other people were in there for doing drugs with their lawyers by their sides. If you ask me, the two traffic incidents’ are nothing alike and plus, I really don’t want everyone else knowing my business!

What do you think the legal BAC for drivers should be? Currently it is at .08! What should the penalty be for people arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) for the first offense? The Second offense? The third offense?.
