Nicole Richie got 2 days in jail for dui, thats ridiculous my cousin got 3 months in jail and a harsh fine for dui and it was his first offense.

Do you usually pay a fine? A day or two in jail? Or could you face months/years? For a first offense.

Its my first offense and its suspended because of my speeding tickets, but I got caught driving on the suspended license. I am not a deliquent. I have a nice paying job, and obtain a degree. I am currently going on for another degree. I am curious to know what sort of verdict I am expecting to get. If anybody was in a similar situation, please help me out.

Alright so I arrive at a club at 12:30 and have one long island ice tea because at the door they mess up and give me a 21 band. It’s 3:00 and closing time and I leave..me being stupid…I speed through a yellow light and theres a cop right there and he pulls me over. He then says that he can smell alcohol on me and I insist that it’s on my shirt and that I haven’t had any. He gets me out and makes me do the sobriety test and I pass all of them…he says that I failed and makes me do a breathalyser where I blow a 0.05 BAC. This is my first offense and the first time I have ever been pulled over. Do you think that I could get it dropped to reckless or even dropped?

I was driving without license and got two citations, one for and the other for driving without license, I have to go to trail for that one(I was charge TA16101 A )
Will I go to jail for being charge with TA16101 A?and I don’t even have a license or a learner’s permit! This is my first offense. It happened in Maryland

I live inn Humboldt county. I was told that I was one and a half times the legal limit. I took a blood test. I don’t know the results, yet. But I assume they support the officer’s claim. It is my first offense. I was very cooperative.

My first offense but was for driving while on weed. Im thinking im going to be getting the probation and the 7 month license removal. I was just wondering if they can throw any other charges on top with some hot piss. Just fyi i did blow a 0.00.

I know someone that was recently arrested for DUI and had her car impounded. I do not know if this is her first offense or not. According to the Secretary of State, a person is given a 45 day temporary "license," with the suspension starting on the 46th day. Does this mean that a person, who just got the DUI, is allowed to drive for 45 days? I don’t get this.

I don’t have a license, I was caught driving without a license and got two tickets one for and the other i have to go to court for driving without a license. It happened at 2am I was coming from my friend’s house because his father had passed way and i went to visit him that night .So I want to know if i could go to jail for this and for how long?

Is a second offense determined by the first offense being a conviction or simply that you have been charged for the same crime previously within a relatively short period of time? In other words, if a person is charged with DWI and the case is still pending and then gets another one, will the one that is brought to court first be considered a first or a second offense? Is an offense a charge or a conviction? Also, if you are arrested for DWI outside your home state, are you subject to the DWI punishments of your state or the state you broke the law in?
