What is the official difference between a DUI and a DWI?
I used to think a DWI was Alcohol and DUI was all the other drugs. But someone informed me that that wasn’t true. So, what is it? The amount? The day of the week?

I recently got a ticket for dwi. I’m waiting to go to court for the ticket. I have a lawyer but he is super hard to get intouch with. I wanna move out of state like NOW. Can I move or do I have to wait? If I do move out of state what will be the consciences legally?
I know I can look up all of the charges etc, but with a lawyer it is always different for everyone I am thinking.
This person blew a .23 and is 20 years old, DWI and Wreckless ticket. Did not hit anything or cause any damage.
-How long can said person lose their license for? Many people say "1 year" or "until your 21" as common knowledge, but what is the reality, I’ve heard anywhere from 2-6 months, I guess depending on the lawyer, right?

Father lives out of state, is settled, married and has maintained the same employment for several years. Custodial mother is alcoholic, been arrested recently for DWI(s) and cannot maintain a stable home. Child has lived with grandmother for the past 3 years. Mother has now joined her there (@ grandparents) with her newest baby. 14 (in August) year old child wants to live with Dad. Dad wants custody but cannot readily afford the high retainer fee required by the attorney that he contacted. Is there anything this father and daughter can do without an attorney?
My boss sais he cant afford to have me under his car insurance because of this dwi so he has to let me go. He also said I cannot collect because it was my fault. Is this true? I had this job for about 2 years.
In dec,2007 i got a DWI on my regular license since then i have not went to court yet to face the charges but have since finish truck driving school and got my CDL license. Will a conviction hurt me getting a job even if i got the dwi with my regular license?
In Feb. I was convicted of a DWI in Mt. Laurel, NJ after blowing a .13 on the Alcotest, which has recently ruled reliable. My attorney put a "stay" on my conviction until the Alcotest ruling came out. Does anyone know how the courts will go about handling the large backflow of people who have DWI’s?? If anyone has knowledge of this I’d really appreciate their input…
