If you have a drivers license but it’s not the hard card license, like a paper saying that you do have it like right when you pass your drivers test. And before you actually get your hard card license in the mail you move to Texas. Do you have to start all over again starting with the written test or could you just transfer your California’s drivers license to Texas with that paper?

I would like to know what the difference between the two except that you have to take the driving school to get the drivers license and that your family has to be in some kind of hardship to get a hardship

I was struck on my motorcycle by an unisured motorist that ran a stop sign, breaking a total of 9 bones, I’ve had 4 operations and I still have 1 more to go. My bills have hit over $ 300,000 the woman that hit me got less than a 00 in fines and is already driving again. I think it should be a $ 2000 dollar fine and they lose their auto to be sold at auction and drivers license for a year. The fine and money gained from the sale of their car should go into a fund to pay the victim’s. Once they are hit with a fine and loss of their car and license maybe they will think twice about getting behind the wheel and not having insurance. Because let’s face it, if you can’t afford insurance you cant afford to drive.

My mom and I are purchasing a car from a Nissan dealership, so we will be co-owners, however I’m going through a reinstatement process and I am required to have a car under my name, and show proof of insurance. My mom does have a drivers license, but i dont. We went to the dealership and they did let me test drive the car with an ID. Will they let us purchase the car with only her having a Driver’s License?

I was in Iowa and was pulled over for being too close to a semi, my friend was smoking pot. The cop smelled it and asked if we had pot, I said yes and gave it all up. He made me throw it away in a field, along with the pipe and basically let us go with a traffic fine and let us go our way, I was never detained or arrested. Few months later I enlisted for the army back in NJ and completely forgot about the incident. Now few years later I found out my drivers license is supended, so I decided to get a report of my driving history and I says I have a DUI, and I have no idea what to do now, someone please help.
Aren’t you suppose to be arrested when you have a DUI? and the cop also said he will let us off the hook and let us go with a minor traffic fine. If the cop thought I was under the influence why would he let me go and get behind a wheel, I was driving back to NJ that day BTW.
this is my report
VIOLATION DATE:JUN 21 2003
VIOLATION:VEHICLE CODE: 3731 MAJOR VIOLATION
DESCRIPTION:DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE
CONVICTION DATE:SEP 09 2003 ???
ACTION:SUSP DRVR LIC COMPACT FOR 1 YEAR(S) EFFECTIVE JAN 14 2004
OFFICIAL NOTICE MAILED DEC 10 2003
Would be Conviction be under the Motor Vehical Act, OR the Criminal Code?
I also paid for a nationwide warrant search just now and it came up with no records, EVER! This is driving me crazy!

Ok i am supposed to be getting a new iphone but my mom lost her drivers license.
We went up to the apple store and they wouldn’t let us get it without some type of id.
Well she doesn’t want to go get a new id for some strange reason is there any other way to get this damn phone?
This is really becoming a thorn in my side.

Hello! OK, long story short, I need to know if what I am looking at is the same as what I was told to get…
I was told to go to the Illinois Secretary of State website (CyberDriveIllinois.com) and find the application for a "Court Abstract" of a CDL Drivers License.
I found a page that gives the application for an "Abstract" but not a "Court Abstract".
Purchase of a Driving Record Abstract
http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/drivers/drivers_license/purchaseabstract.html
Was what I was told just poorly worded or is an "Abstract" different than a "Court Abstract"?
I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I REALLY need to make sure that I get the right documentation… This is a legal issue.
