if i got in trouble when i was 16 and 18 years old will this affect me ? when i was a teen i got in some trouble no jail time ever..16 yrs old case was thrown out because of no evidence and received my paperwork back and mugshots.. when i was 18 i was convicted of a misdemeanor..i havnt been in trouble since and im 34 yrs old now. what are my chances for a pistol permit in ny? i know people who have dwi and misdemeanor convictions and have full carry licenses. i guess it depends on the judge?

I was sitting at a red light and got rear ended by a drunk driver at approx 35 mph. I was wearing a safety belt. I was taken to hospital, and he was taken straight to jail for his 4th DWI conviction. I suffered the normal whiplash injuries, but also herniated and ripped a disk in my lower back that was not preexisting. My insurance company had me evaluated by their MD, and he concurred it was not prexisting. I have a personal injury lawyer who seems quite professional. I live in New York State which means all of my medical bills have been paid via no-fault insurance. However I’d like to get a large recovery mainly because i am so mad that he is a 44 year old man, and hitting me gave him his 4th dwi. I also had my job filled because I was out for so long healing. I used to be an emergency nurse for the government. Does anyone think i will get a good recovery despite having all medical bills paid by no-fault. My lawyer seems quite confident, but I have a bad feeling i’m not "hurt enough". Thanks everyone.
I forgot to mention that I haven’t received any insurance payout from his company. My attorney is demanding a settlement amount from his insurance company. His insurance company has not offered me anything as of yet.

3rd conviction; first was a DUI i heard there is a minimum 30 day sentence. Curious if there is any loopholes or alternatives to going to jail. No negative slap-on-the-hand answers please.

I have ruined the career that I was awesome in but my life can’t be over. I went to rehab and changed my disrespectful ways. I am engaged, have my life in order and am even getting my daughter back. Is my professional life over?

In dec,2007 i got a DWI on my regular license since then i have not went to court yet to face the charges but have since finish truck driving school and got my CDL license. Will a conviction hurt me getting a job even if i got the dwi with my regular license?

How long does convictons of speeding stay on your record?
The conviction date is: 6/10/2004 with three points.
Also I have a "Disobeyed traffic Device" convicted on 5/27/2005 with two points. That is it. My driving record is clean after that, no acidents, no DWI, etc.
