A friend of mine is currently in Vacaville State Prison, been imprisoned for over one year now, and wants to APPEAL his conviction (there WERE, indeed, a lot of mistakes and flimsy comments entered into "evidence"). I feel he has a good case for appealing the conviction he got (15 to life – RIDICULOUS !) The State of California PURSUED THIS CASE, not the widow of the man he ACCIDENTALLY RAN INTO in Redding, CA. The State of California "admitted" some past DUI’s into the case that, by statuate, should NOT HAVE BEEN ADMITTED. And other things such as that — HOW DO I HELP MY FRIEND FIND A "reasonably priced APPEALS ATTORNEY" to help him out of this NIGHTMARE. He is a good person, does have a few past DUI’s (more than ten years ago) and that’s ALL ! And yet they gave him such a STIFF, UNFAIR SENTENCE (we all feel).

I finally got older and wiser and quit drinking. But looking back im realizing those were some dangerous days. When I used to get drunk I would be around .15 which is almost twice the legal limit. Iv done that about 10 times in my life. I welcome all answers especially from people who know what they’re talking about. thx.

Hi, i just had a car accident last night. I was at fault because i didnt stop to give way. I have just reported to the insurance company and the claims department are working on it. I know i have to pay the excess on my car, to get it repaired at the insurers approved repair centres. Hopefully i will get a courtesy car.

I am fully comprehensively covered but am wondering after the car is repaired, is the excess all i have to pay? Will there be extra charges because i was ‘liable’ for the accident? The other partys car got moderate damage also but luckily no injuries and do claim for injuries either.

Thanks for any help and advice on what i should do.

I know in come cases it can be different because the cause for the intoxication or influence may be different(drugs as opposed to alcohol, for example), but if it’s due to drugs, isn’t possession another charge altogether, and isn’t what the person did basically the same? Driving in an impaired state?

Hi everyone, please help? i know its awful but i was caught driving drunk few days ago, i refused to give a breath or blood specimen. The court date is soon and i am paniking. I have read related websites and i know that i am facing driving ban, a fine and a possible imprisonment. Well, imprisonment sounds well scary, obviously dont wana lose my license as this will implicate my financial troubles:(( what can i do to smooth things a bit before the court? whats are my chances? is the imprisonment really that possible?
sorry guys, i know what you may feel, i am open to any comments and judgements, but i am hoping that perhaps some one could help with advise or maybe good solicitor number or just a few words of assurance? cant sleep, cant eat, have made myself a promise of the life not to do this ever again.
