I have a license in one state, however my license is revoked in my home state. If I drive in my home state (where I am revoked) with my out of state license and plates will I get in trouble for driving? Could I get a driving on a revoked license ticket using my out of state license in the state I am revoked?
My license has been susepended, and I can get an OLL, Occupational Drivers License, but I’ll have to pay fifty dollars for it. In order to get it I have to apply for it, and the money is non-refundable. I was wondering if anyone has applied and gotten it?
I am about to go up to Georgia to be sentinced for a first time DUI conviction. I hold a Florida Driver’s Licence and do not want the state to see the conviction. From what I was able to find, Georgia is not a DLC state which from my understanding means they are not hooked up to a centralized data base.
I was thinking before sentincing to go up to Georgia and apply for a Georgia Driver’s licence. I have relatives up there so I can open a bank account and sign a lease. But what should I do at Georgia DMV? I was thinking I could report my current FL drivers licence lost, get a new one. Then, give Georgia the old one hoping they would not notify Florida that I turned in a licence? Sot this way I would have a Georgia licence to surrendor to the court and have my Florida licence to. I can not think of any other way to do this nor do I know if it will work. Any advice, suggestions, ect. would be greatly appreciated. Very confusing stuff. Thanks.
I live in Florida. I got a DUI last spring (April). My attorney is trying to get me out of it, and personally I think, why should he? I was driving under the influence.
This whole thing still hasn’t blown over. What should I do, give me some advice.

Thanks for your answers. Just to clarify, I’m not asking for myself – I’m asking for my sister who has received 1 dui in another state and is now living in CA. She has not received one in CA, but I’m planning on talking to her about her drinking problem and wanted to bring up what the consequences would be if she did receive another while in CA.
I have a friend that is contemplating whether to get an attorney or not for a recent DUI arrest. He lives in Las Vegas and it’s his first but his concern is wasting money on an attorney if there is little chance of getting it reduced.
Also a point that might be worth mentioning, when he was pulled over, he requested a seargant come to the scene and was denied the request. Is there any merit to this and does he have any recourse if he does pursue with an attorney?

I believe that people should not drink and drive… jus recently a student from my school died in a drunk driving accident. A few years ago i thought that i couldn’t do anything.. that kids had no control over something like this, an that we could do nuttin to prevent it. However, i decided that enough is enough. We teens can do something about this an i want to. However i can’t seem to find a program about drunk driver for me to join in West Warwick, RI. I am sixteen by the wayy. An i know this may sound crazy but i am DEATHLY afraid of car accidents.. The site of a recked up car makes me sick, an i hav nitemares.. but i am willing to deal with those symptoms if i can do anything to help decrease the death rate in drunk driving. So if anybody knows any programs for sixteen year olds in west warwick, RI i would appreciate it.
This past weekend i got caught holding my friends beer and was issued a misdemeanor BP 25662(a). I have looked up what happens when you get one and i know you have to pay a fine, maybe community service, and i’ve read you automatically have your license suspended for a year? Is there any cases where anyone in california who hasnt gotten thier license suspended? and if worse comes to worse how do i get a restricted license for my job and how long does it take? please help….
